Today I want to talk to you about why you should shop vintage!
I personally love getting my clothes this way. I feel that authentic clothes from the 80's and 90's are better quality and often sized much better.
You also get the benefit of authenticity. Rather than buying what the current market has to offer in terms of recreating the 90's fashion look, you can get the real thing from a vintage fair or up-cycling site. You also know that what you are buying has its own history, and you are adding your own part to the story.
I personally love to dress really baggy. With todays fashion this really isn't on the table. I lean more towards vintage when I want something in my wardrobe that can be slouchy but can be dressed up really easily just with accessories or different shoes.
If you like the 90's fashion vibe then you definitely need to check out a local vintage fair they are a treasure trove of forgotten garments.
One of the best places in the UK for this is Brighton. You NEED to go there if vintage is your thing. Brighton is full of colour and vintage fashion for you to explore. However if going there on a trip is not really an option, most places have some kind of fair of other. I personally, go to uni in Loughborough, and I go to a shop called Eclectic. The shop is actually a combo; it house Loft Clothing Co. (the vintage clothes store), The Breezy Bagel Co. (café with bagels) and they also have hot desking. It is a really awesome place so, if you are in Loughborough, you really should check it out. You can find the whole shop at http://instagram.com/eclecticlboro
or just Loft Clothing at http://instagram.com/loftclothingco
