Plan With Me
Hello and welcome back!
This blogpost is the first of the blogposts that will go hand in hand with the videos that go up on my YouTube channel. I have made a schedule and it will look like this:
- Wednesday at 17:00 GMT – New YouTube video
- Saturday at 18:00 GMT – New blogpost
- Sunday evening – YouNow livestream. This video will automatically be streamed live on the YouTube channel and on my Tumblr blog. They will also remain there after for you to watch later.
To begin then, The YouTube video that went live earlier this week was a variation of a Plan With Me video. In the video I go through all of the things that I think are the most important items to help keep me organised. Unlike most people I use lots of different methods to help keep different parts of my life separate.
If you want to watch the video you can find it here:
The first item that I talked about was my bullet journal. This mostly speaks for itself, but for me it is mostly used as a way for me to brain dump rather than plan my whole life through.
The next item is actually somewhat more important. This is my blogpost and video planning book. This is full of lists and brainstorms to help me plan my blogposts and map out my video ideas.
Now I will talk about the academic methods that I use. This is slightly out of order than I talk about in the video as in the video I talk about the iPad last but I will talk about it in grouping with talking about my academic notebook. The notebook is purely for generic academic notes that I can then refer to throughout my time of study. Whereas the iPad if for me to be able to write up all of my lecture notes and keep a record of them. These too styles of note-taking are different from each other and that is why I keep them separate.
Next item is actually a really nice list making clipboard. I simply use this to making a daily to-do list and this is put on display on my desk until everything on the list has been ticked off.
Next I also use a calendar. Because the calendar is black, I use a white paint marker to write on the calendar. This has led to me not being able to make mistakes so I have put the calendar in a picture frame so that I can use the paint marker of the glass. This allows me to erase things and move things around on the calendar.
The last thing that I consider very important to maintaining an organised life is my phone. Regardless of what other materials I have with me I will always have my phone and therefore the calendar on my phone is the most important organisational tools that I have.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed.
